This is not a white-tablecloth riff on Neapolitan tradition. By all accounts it's a genuinely casual room — not carefully designed to look casual — built for the neighbourhood regular, the student on a date, the person who wants a serious, thoughtful pie on a Tuesday without rearranging their budget. The Frank Pinello, a white pizza, is reportedly the clearest argument for coming here. No tomato sauce to hide behind means the kitchen has nowhere to coast — it's pure technique, fat, and cheese, and diners consistently point to it as the thing that earns Farinella its reputation. The Spicy Vodka is known for an orange-red sauce that sits somewhere between a classic marinara and a cream-blushed number — richer than a straight tomato pie, with heat that registers without overwhelming.
