Make the drive. This is the kind of tucked-away, owner-in-the-room operation that punches way above its zip code. Orestis Stavrou has been working kitchens since he was 15, and it shows in the tzatziki alone — the Lamb Gyro ($12.50, or $14.50 as a plate) comes loaded with meat that's genuinely tender and seasoned like someone cared. The Pasticcio ($16) is Greek lasagna comfort, macaroni and beef under a blanket of bechamel, with salad and fries so you're not doing math on whether you'll leave full. Same deal with the Moussaka ($16). And if the kitchen sends out a plate of Loukoumades ($12.80) — honey-and-cinnamon-drizzled Greek beignets — on the house, don't be a hero, just eat them. No pretense, no downtown markup, just a small menu done right. Bring an appetite and maybe a map.
