High ceilings, a glamorous bar, and a room built for occasion-making have made it one of the more visually serious dining rooms in the West Loop — a neighbourhood that now competes with River North for the city's special-occasion spend. The concept updates the chophouse template without abandoning its fundamentals, and that positioning appears to have stuck: weekend reservations are reliably scarce, which says something about where it sits in the Chicago steakhouse conversation. The beef program is what draws the most consistent attention.
