Owner Debi has built something genuinely community-rooted on 21st Street — a room that rotates through trivia nights, live bands on Thursdays, and weekend DJs without ever feeling like it's trying too hard to be a venue. The regulars here are Mission lifers and their visiting friends, not people who Yelped their way in looking for a scene. That's a meaningful distinction in a neighborhood that's absorbed fifteen years of displacement pressure, and it explains why Asiento has outlasted plenty of more ambitious neighbors. The food is bar food that takes a few real swings.
