This is not a room about tableside theater or fusion posturing. The menu centers on long braises, committed sour notes, and smoke that earns its place — the kind of cooking that diners consistently report feels closer to a Persian household than to a restaurant playing to the room. The crowd, by all accounts, is mixed in the best way: Persian families who know exactly what they're ordering alongside regulars who figured out quickly that the value-to-flavor math here is unusual. The cold appetizers are where the kitchen's confidence reportedly announces itself first. The Kashk-e-Bademjoon — roasted eggplant with fermented whey, fried onion, and dried mint — is known for the kind of funk and depth that only comes from not cutting corners on the kashk.
