In a city where brewpubs increasingly perform sophistication, GIB leans into its role as a democratic, no-fuss gathering place where tourists and Kits regulars reportedly coexist without either feeling out of place. At a single dollar-sign price level in a city that loves to charge three, that's practically a civic service. The menu centers on pub food that stays in its lane rather than reaching beyond it. The English Bay Poutine is consistently flagged as the thing to order — reportedly the sloppy, gravy-drenched kind that actually functions as poutine rather than the architectural plated version that looks great and delivers little.
