The result, over time, is what the cafe now calls "Japaribbean" cooking, a Jamaican-Japanese fusion that grew organically from a real partnership rather than a branding exercise. It's a small, funky room with a stuffed lion presiding from above like a patron saint of the whole improbable endeavor, flooded with natural light through large windows and soundtracked by Jamaican music.
