Co-founder and chef Jon Burge trained at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts and spent time on Vancouver's high-end bistro and gourmet truck circuit before returning to Winnipeg — that tension between serious culinary training and an unpretentious setting is what makes OGC worth paying attention to.
