Named for owner Rachel Lee's rabbit, operating out of 513 square feet on Quebec Street in Mount Pleasant, and seating just 18 people, it has no interest in scale — only in precision. Lee conceived the space as a wine bar first, the kind where the food and the glass exist in genuine conversation: rotating European-style snacks and share plates calibrated to a list of classic, approachable European wines that has since won back-to-back Gold from the Vancouver International Wine Festival and the 2026 VanMag Best Wine Bar title. Chef Jorge Tuane, who spent five years at AnnaLena before joining this kitchen, brings that same restrained seriousness to the plate. The room itself — floor-to-ceiling windows that open entirely to the street, oak wainscoting, checkered tile at the bar, thrifted dishware on stone tables — reads like someone designed it for a specific kind of Tuesday night, and then kept it exactly that way. The menu rotates, but a few dishes have developed enough of a following to function as anchors. The mussels with pork 'nduja and saffron-tomato broth is Lee's own stated favorite — a spicy, aromatic pot that represents exactly the kind of European-inflected comfort the kitchen gravitates toward. The house-made ricotta gnocchi is described consistently as pillowy and layered without heaviness, which is the difficult thing to get right.
